Dan graduated from UW-Whitewater with his Bachelor's in Business Administration and joined Northwestern Mutual in October of 2000 as a Financial Representative. Dan got off to a fast start by entering the leadership program his third month in the business. Dan has obtained many company and industry awards and is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Dan is a Certified Coach and a Wealth Management Advisor. Dan has served as the Managing Director of the Elm Grove office since May of 2009.


Dan has earned his CLU®, ChFC®, CLF® and CASL® designations.

Since 1927, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. The designation helps individuals build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, the CLU® designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.

The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation has been a mark of excellence for almost thirty years and currently requires nine college-level courses, the most of any financial planning credential. Average study time to earn the ChFC® exceeds 450 hours. Required courses cover extensive education and application training in financial planning, income taxation, investments, and estate and retirement planning. Additional electives are chosen from such topics as macroeconomics, financial decisions for retirement, and executive compensation. ChFC® designees must meet experience requirements and adhere to continuing education and ethical standards. The credential is awarded by The American College, a non-profit educator with an 85-year heritage and the highest level of academic accreditation.

The Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) designation was developed by The American College to provide field financial services managers with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to accomplish key organizational goals such as recruiting and retaining top performers, setting performance objectives, improving managerial skills and developing effective business plans.

The Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®) designation focuses exclusively on providing comprehensive knowledge on the full range of financial, health, psychological and sociological issues confronting older clients. In earning the CASL® designation, Dan gained a thorough understanding of health and health care insurance-related issues, long term care insurance, planning for pension distributions, suitability of investments, federal estate taxation and counseling on key family decisions.
